Robust stairs for industrial applications – designed to be transport- and assembly-friendly for various use cases.
See how fast it worksThe term "industrial stair" does not really exist. Most people understand it to mean stairs built with grating steps and stringers made of steel profiles.
Some of these stairs are used on machines and installations and are therefore only accessed by qualified personnel. For these stairs, the standard DIN EN 14121-3 applies.
When stairs of this type are used as outdoor stairs or escape stairs, DIN 18065 naturally applies. Unfortunately, such stairs are often seen where riser overlap and maximum clear spacing (including on the railing) are not observed.
In terms of construction, these stairs are usually designed to be transport- and assembly-friendly, meaning largely demountable with screw connections. To save weight and costs, some manufacturers use specially bent profiles.
